Description
Today’s video sets your students up to do three things very well:
1. Practice crafting an introductory paragraph for literary analysis
2. Accurately ascertain a text’s meaning and the author’s intent
3. Crush the thesis point
For those of you who are familiar with my work, you know that I love to use short videos in my instructional practices.
And I also embrace the use of heuristics over templates.
Well, short films are a great way to practice hammerin’ the thesis point!
Joost Lieuwma’s film “Leaving Home” is rife with possibilities.
In the video, I take my usual “Bob Ross” approach and “paint” a number of introductions while demonstrating how to pull the strings of my inverted thesis heuristic.
