Description

For this argument paper, I borrowed a line from Eminem in order to help students to get anchored in a thesis: “If you have enemies – good, that means you stood up for something.”

Just as in FRQ3 prompts from recent years, students need to get their head around the quote and tussle with it in this argument paper.

In this writing workshop video, I demonstrate how to construct this essay from start to finish while incorporating my templates. There are a ton of exemplars and models – so teachers and students should have a very clear understanding of how to put the pieces together.

Engagement is always high when you get kids to argue about topics that are deeply in their wheelhouse!
