Ozymandias (Gamified Discussion + Writing Workshop)

Description

Today’s video lesson sets teachers up to do two things:

1. Host a Plato’s Play-Doh Discussion (Say what …???). This modality takes a gamified approach of what I deem to be the best elements of the Fishbowl, Harkness, and Socratic model. Through the elements of collaboration and competition, not only do students learn a ton, but they actually engage.

2. If at this stage of the year your students are still struggling with their writing, I’ve recorded a writing workshop that illustrates from start to finish how to write a literary analysis paper all while pulling the strings of my heuristics. The samples actually come from my NWP students, so they’re solid.
