Join Kristian Kuhn in this summer bootcamp to learn strategies for supporting students in responding to the Free-Response Questions (FRQs) on the AP Language and Composition exam. Over the course of the bootcamp, participants will learn how to model both the inverted and declarative thesis templates for each of the three AP Lang FRQs. In addition, participants will learn how to construct body paragraphs for each of the expository modes with a static template: the syllogistic method. After experiencing several models of the process, participants will have the opportunity to try out the approaches themselves. They will also receive support for planning to host AP Lang FRQ writing workshops specifically for their teaching context.
