Imagine if one template/heuristic allowed your students to write across expository modes and genres – it would eliminate the guessing game.
 
Oftentimes, teachers saddle students with an essay and they react like they’ve never written an essay before.
 
That blows my mind when I work with teachers and witness that.
 
The key is to equip your students with templates and model like you’re a veritable Bob Ross of composition.
